WHISPER LOVE
Nacho & The Planetesimals The original recordings for this EP were the result of being blessed by knowing so many fabulous musicians – mostly through hosting open mic sessions in Oxford. Eternal thanks to Ed Hart (the founding host) who along with Matty and Maureen (landlords) set up the original open mic in the Bookbinders Ale House, Jericho in 2007. Thanks also to Xav and Paula, the landlords when we moved the open mic to the Harcourt Arms, also in Jericho. I plugged in Phil Fryer and Emi Itoh on occasion, and I’m very happy they were able to contribute to the EP. Current landlord Ian Stuart continues (2020) to make the Harcourt Arms the centre of my own musical life and a fixture of Oxford’s live music scene.
Many thanks to Jonnie Fletcher of Starling Audio for the original recordings way back when, and to Ben Lloyd (percussion) and Linn Johansson (vocals). In more recent times Phil Fryer (flute) and Emi Itoh (violin) were added to Whisper Love, recorded by Oli Whitworth who also engineered the whole EP. Grateful thanks to all.
